It was Alex's birthday party and he went all out. He had invited over 100 friends to his house (which I didn't recognize). The theme wasn't surprising: video game party. What WAS surprising was that the video game was real: we all had cyborg suits on with lazer-type guns, and his backyard was fully converted to a 10 mile long battle zone. There were a combination of real people and monsterish aliens fighting. Alex had warpaint on his face, but he was wearing a southern style dress. (This did not surprise me.)
There was some typical Alex-food; cookies shaped like pizzas and lots of corn bread. The part that surprised me the least is that occasionally, a Universal studios tour bus would pass through points in his house.
Conclusion: Alex jumped on one of the tour buses and exited San-Fransisco musical style.
My dad and sister were there.
